When Will Greece Open? Food and Wine Booth closed due to Technical Difficulties!
With an undertaking as impressive as the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, featuring over 30 different food booths plus new merchandise, entertainment and more, there will be some hiccups! Unfortunately, today the Greece Food and Wine Booth was an opening day casualty!
Our MickeyBloggers arrived hungry for some Spanikopita but were disappointed to find the Greece Food and Wine booth closed. When they asked Disney cast members, they were told that the booth was having technical difficulties!
It’s true that some booths including the Noodle Exchange, Mac and Eats and Costal Eats are intentionally opening in August. However, the Greece booth was schedule to open today at the start of the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival! Faithful Food and Wine fans will remember that while Greece was an original Food and Wine booth, it disappeared for a few years before returning last year!
The Greece booth is always one of our favorites because of the gorgeous white structure with blooming flowers. You can just imagine this building on the coast of the Agean Sea! In addition to loving the look, of course we also love the Greek food!

In addition to Spanikopita for $4.75, the Greek booth will also be offering a Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey for $4.75. A new item destined to become a popular favorite is the Lamb Gyro with Shaved Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion and Tzatziki on Warm Flatbread for $6.50.
If you’re drinking around the world, you’ll want to visit the Greece Food and Wine Booth to try some new alcoholic beverages! They are offering Mylonas Assyritiko White Wine, Skouras Zoe Rose, and a Kir-Yanni Naoussa Xinomavro Dry Red. And if you can’t pick just one, you can order a Wine Flight! How can you go wrong?
