Disneyland Hikes Up Price of Tickets and Introduces New Tier
Unfortunately, Mickey Blog has more news about price increases at Disney Parks. In addition to Genie+, Disneyland just hiked up the price of tickets and introduced a new tier.
Genie+
This morning, news broke that Genie+ went up $5 per person, per day at Southern California’s Theme Parks. Florida also increased the price of its Genie+ service at Walt Disney World Resort.
It seems that Disney chose today as a day for price hikes! Let’s talk about the specifics of the new cost of tickets at Disneyland Resort, effective today.
Disneyland’s Increased Ticket Prices and New Tier
KTLA reports that Disney has hiked up ticket prices by 8% at Disneyland Resort, which includes Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks. Disney journalist Scott Gustin shared a chart showing that 1-day tickets are now $10 more across the board.
Previously, there were 6 tiers available for Disney Guests to purchase. Along with the price increases, Disney added another option called “Tier 0”.
The least expensive of the bunch, it’s priced at $104. Reportedly, the 1-day ticket will be valid on the least crowded days of the year, a tempting benefit for Guests.
As for add-ons, Hotel Valet jumped 30% from $50 to $65.

The most pricey 1-day Park Hopper ticket now costs $244 a day. Disneyland hasn’t increased ticket prices since October 2021.
A Disneyland official stated, “Disneyland Resort is always planning the next new idea, attraction, and story. Our tiered ticketing structure offers Guests different options to experience that magic throughout the year, including our lowest price point – which hasn’t changed since 2019.”

Upcoming Projects at Disneyland Resort
One new attraction planned for next year is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The ride will reportedly be an enhanced version of Walt Disney World’s attraction.
Disney fans are looking forward to its premiere in Toon Town on January 27. D23 attendees were treated to a glimpse of the ride in scale model form at the Anaheim Convention Center this year.
Disneyland Resort has a list of upcoming projects on its agenda, such as the Splash Mountain retheme. The question is, will Guests find Disneyland’s price hikes reasonable? I guess we’ll find out when it comes time to purchase their tickets.
