Disney Channel Cancels ‘Secrets of Sulphur Springs’ After Three Seasons
Secrets of Sulphur Springs, the time-traveling adventure series on the Disney Channel, has been canceled after 3 seasons.
The series was created, written, and executive produced by Tracey Thomson and followed the adventures of 12-year-old Griffin Campbell, whose world is upended when his family moves to Chicago to take ownership of an abandoned hotel named The Tremont.

In Chicago, the Campbell family decides to live in The Tremont in hopes of restoring the residency to its former glory.

On his first day of school, Griffin learns that The Tremont is supposedly haunted by the ghost of Savannah (Elle Graham), a girl who disappeared decades ago. Alongside his friend Harper (Kyliegh Curran), he then discovers a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time and solve the town’s mystery.
Another Disney Channel Cancelation
The news that Secrets of Sulphur Springs will not return for a fourth season comes less than a month after Disney canceled the Jessie spinoff Bunk’d after seven seasons.

“With a fantastic cast of characters and hilarious and heartful storylines, it’s no wonder Bunk’d has been one of Disney Channel’s longest-running and successful live-action series,” Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, said in a statement to Deadline. “We’d like to thank our talented cast, creative team and crew for bringing tremendous joy and laughter to kids for seven incredible seasons.”
Disney Channel Needs New Series
If Disney wants to replace these tried and tested shows, it is going to need to develop a new crop of series.
The task will fall to Davis’ creative team, led by Charlie Andrews. He recently hired veteran family entertainment executive Jenna Boyd, who is repeatedly actively developing a slate of mult-camera comedies aimed at kids 6-11.
