‘Bunk’d’ Will Conclude its Run on the Disney Channel at the End of Season 7
Bunk’d, the longest-running live-action series in the history of the Disney Channel will come to an end with the conclusion of the show’s seventh season.
The series originally debuted in 2015, as a spinoff of the popular Disney Channel Series Jessie. Bunk’d saw Emma (Peyton List), Ravi (Karan Brar), and Zuri (Skai Jackson) Ross leave their New York penthouse to attend Camp Kikiwaka, a rustic summer camp in Maine.

An Expansive Cast
In addition to the three Jessie stars, Bunk’d’s original cast also included Miranda May as camp counselor Lou Hockhauser.
While May has remained a part of the cast for all seven seasons, List, Brar, and Jackson all left after Season 3.

Following the exit of the Jessie characters, the series underwent a creative overhaul. Other cast members during Bunk’d’s run have included Will Buie Jr., Raphael Alejandro, Israel Johnson, Scarlett Estevez, Shelby Simmons, Shiloh Verrico, Luke Busey, Alfred Lewis, and Trevor Tordjma.
All Good Things Come to an End
Production on Season 7 of Bunk’d was suspended in May due to the WGA strike, At the time, 12 of the season’s twenty episodes had been filmed.
Now, the order for the series’ final season has been increased to 22 episodes, and production on the final 10 is currently underway.

Disney Will Fill the Void
With Bunk’d coming to an end, Davis and his team will have to create a new series to fill the void. According to Deadline, Disney is actively developing a “slate of multi-cam comedies geared for Kids 6-11.”
