Daisy Ridley Says ‘New Jedi Order’ Will Feature a Different Cast and Crew Than the Sequel Trilogy
Perhaps the biggest question looming over the future of Star Wars is who will return alongside Daisy Ridley for the upcoming Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy film referred to as Star Wars: New Jedi Order.
While we know that the film will focus on Rey Skywalker as she attempts to fulfill her promise to Luke Skywalker and rebuild the Jedi Order, the film’s plot, cast, and even release timeline have yet to be revealed.

Ridley Says Her Star Wars Return Will Feature a New Cast
In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, however, Daisey Ridley revealed that the cast and crew of the upcoming film will likely be different from that of the sequel trilogy.
“It will probably be different people, I imagine. I don’t know if it’s the same or different,” she opined. “Crew wise, cast wise… So it’s all an adventure.”

By the sounds of things, we won’t see Finn and Poe in the upcoming New Jedi Order film. Instead, it sounds like Rey will adventure out on her own without the support of her Resistance allies. Considering 15 years will have passed since the events of The Rise of Skywalker, perhaps that is not surprising.
Ridley is Excited to Return
While the sequel film was divisive among the fan base, Ridley is excited to return to the franchise. Like Hayden Christensen before her, the Star Wars fandom seems to have embraced Ridley as a returning hero.

“I was always thrilled to be part of it. Even when it’s divisive. I feel like people are generally good, and I feel like people are receptive and interested. And, honestly, if it wasn’t a story worth telling, I wouldn’t be doing it. It’s a fun direction.”
At this time, we do not know when production will begin on New Jedi Order. Hopefully, however, we will get an update soon.
