UPDATE: Closed Pathway Re-opens Near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

It is a chilly day at Magic Kingdom, but our MickeyBlog reporting team is visiting the parks and bringing you a first look at everything new. We love seeing all of the changes happening each day, and there is a lot to be excited for this month.

This week MickeyBlog shared plenty of construction updates from Walt Disney World, including the refresh happening at Polynesian’s Niue Longhouse.

We also shared the progress happening at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs over at Disney’s Boardwalk! 

And, of course, there were plenty of updates happening at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.  

One thing our team noticed was that a pathway had been closed off near the attraction. We made sure to stop by today check in on the progress.

Now we have more photos and an update from Magic Kingdom. Let’s take a closer look.

MickeyBlog reporters noticed these planters and walls blocking off the pathway to the restrooms just outside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure a few days ago.

Cast Members reported that the pathway was only temporarily closed for work, and today it appears that the path is re-opened.

And here is what it looks like now. Though construction walls are still up and blocking the work from guest-view, the greenery has been removed.

The green shrubs have been moved aside clearing the path.

Many of these pathways and the decor have just recently been added.

The details are coming together and progress is happening daily.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening sometime this year and will delight guests with authentic music, new technology, and a cast featuring Tiana and friends.
