Adventureland Attractions Receive Refresh at Disney’s Magic Kingdom
If you’re organizing, cleaning out, and freshening up your space as we head into the new year, you’re definitely not alone! In fact, two Adventureland attractions seem to be receiving the “New Year, New You” treatment over at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
On a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, MickeyBlog reporters noticed changes happening at Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. Let’s check it out!
Jungle Cruise Construction
The ever-popular Jungle Cruise has transitioned back from its festive holiday overlay, but that doesn’t mean work is complete on the attraction.
Like many Disney attractions, Jungle Cruise boasts an immersive queue that adds to the ride’s ambiance and storyline.
But as Jungle Cruise’s queue receives a refresh, much of the queue decor has been removed from the attraction.
Meanwhile, tarps cover the floor.
The scope of the project is unclear, but we’re excited to see the finished product!
In the meantime, Jungle Cruise remains open to guests, so gear up for some dad jokes and climb aboard!
Pirates of the Caribbean Construction
A second Adventureland attraction is also getting a little extra love!
Our team noticed a brown scrim surrounding the clock tower outside Pirates of the Caribbean.
The attraction itself is unaffected, as the work is limited to the building’s exterior.
While the current work at Pirates of the Caribbean is likely to entail maintenance and minor facade updates, there are big Pirates-inspired changes afoot in Disney World, as Disney has recently announced plans for a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired restaurant at Magic Kingdom.
