Beast’s Library to CLOSE Soon in Disney California Adventure
Let’s take a trip to Disney California Adventure, where things are changing!
If you’ve ever visited Disneyland Resort, you probably stopped in Disney California Adventure, which has been transformed quite a few times over since opening in 2001. Even just this past year, one area was changed into San Fransokyo Square, and just a few years ago Paradise Pier became Pixar Pier. And now, another small — but important — change is coming.
Changes Coming to Disney California Adventure
As reported by Scott Gustin on Twitter/X, the Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure will be changed into a Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center. Blue Sky Cellar was historically home to a variety of exhibits and information about upcoming park attractions, but it closed permanently in 2020.
The date has not yet been announced for its transformation.
Consequently, Walt Disney Imagineering, which was what was located in the Blue Sky Cellar, will move to the Beast’s Library in the Disney Animation Building.
The Beast’s Library will reportedly close on December 10, 2023.
Update: Disney Imagination Campus will move from The Blue Sky Cellar to Beast’s Library in the Disney Animation Building. The last day for guests to experience Beast’s Library will be on Dec. 10. pic.twitter.com/HG2Y4r8R1x

The Beast’s Library is a beloved spot inside the Animation Academy building, where guests can also watch a medley of Disney animated movie clips, meet Anna and Elsa, catch Turtle Talk with Crush, and even learn how to draw Disney characters.
Head over to the Beast’s Library before December 10 if you want to experience it one last time.
