Why You Will WANT to Get Your Photo with Characters during Festival of the Arts

It’s our favorite time of year – EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is in full swing!  The colorful festival takes over EPCOT with rainbows, Figment popcorn buckets, interpretive foods, and fun entertainment. Despite the gloomy weather for opening day, it’s colorful theming brightened up the atmosphere! It’s definitely a can’t-miss festival in our books.

This festival is also one we recommend not skipping out on the character shots! For example, Pluto hangs out in the World Celebration Gardens with a new collar he painted himself!

Over in World Showcase, the characters there also have some fun photo props themselves! Easels featuring paintings, sketches, and illustrations sit in the photos for a few of the meet and greets! Let’s take a look at where you can find them.

Donald – Mexico Pavilion

Donald over in the Mexico Pavilion has what looks to be a self-portrait in yellows and blues in marker. Of course, he had to sign with “#1”!

Mulan – China

Mulan Festival of the Arts

Mulan’s backdrop has a brush painting using the same inks for painting as they do writing. It features the princess under a cherry blossom tree. 

Snow White – Germany

The beloved princess in Germany appears to have a watercolor painting of her at the Wishing Well done by Doc, which is the same place she does her meet and greets.

Belle – France

This clean sketch of Belle appears to have been done by her father, Maurice, on his working project easel he no doubt uses to create the blueprints for his creations.

Sleeping Beauty – France

Princess Aurora’s painting made us chuckle a little. It looks like Flora and Merryweather were the artists here, indecisive on which color Sleeping Beauty should be featured in the final piece. 

Alice – UK Pavilion

Alice appears to have sketched out the elusive White Rabbit that she is chasing throughout the entirety of her journey through Wonderland. What do you think of the character art in World Showcase?
