Classic Cookie, Peculiar Poutine at Refreshment Port for the Festival of the Arts
Greetings, visionaries, from the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts!
We sure hope you’re having a day as colorful and creative as we are, as MickeyBlog is reporting LIVE from the festival all day long.
Currently, our reporters are enjoying a foodie tour of the festival marketplace booths and, right now, we’re over at the park’s prime poutine place — Refreshment Port.
Located just outside the Canada pavilion on the edge of the World Showcase, this spot is known for its classic cheesy fries concoctions at every EPCOT festival. If you’ve not tried them yet, maybe this year’s Festival of the Arts could be your time to do it?
Because, for the 2024 Festival of the Arts, the classic poutine has been given an artsy twist over at Refreshment Port. Sounds exciting, right?
Well, it gets better, as it’s also at this friendly booth where guests can grab one of the festival’s most iconic Instagrammable snacks, and there are two delicious drinks to sip this year here too!
Read on for all the details, and make sure you don’t miss out!
First up here is an absolute classic — the Traditional Poutine. Costing $7.50, this is a tried-and-tested, can’t-go-wrong mix of French fries, served with beef gravy and cheese curds. Yum!
However, the thing that has caught our eye is the booth’s second poutine offering. Rather than fries, this $10 dish actually uses gnocchi as its potato base! We had to order a portion, so let’s check it out….
Piled on top of this gorgeous gnocchi poutine is a red wine-braised beef, basil, burrata and — of course — cheese curds.
Doesn’t it look hearty?
According to our reporters, this poutine dish was just as filling as it looked.
The meat was hearty and flavorful thanks to its generous seasoning and paired beautifully with that chunk of burrata.
The gnocchi itself was a tad dense, but the hefty toppings certainly made up for this!
A great option to share, we’re sure this will be a popular treat during the colder days of the season here in Orlando!
Now, who’s up for something sweet to follow this poutine?
Also available here is the iconic Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie – a treat we’re sure you’ll have seen all over socials during previous festivals.
After all, who wouldn’t want a cookie palette to “paint” with colorful icing?
This is, once again, a classic staple snack for the annual EPCOT Festival of the Arts.
Any chocolate chip cookie this giant is sure to go down well among adults and children alike, especially when the icing is liquid enough for you to “paint” with!
The only issue? Diners better watch out — that “paint” icing is very runny and sure to stain anything it touches!
The cookie costs $5.50.
For drinks, there are two unique offerings here for the festival. First up is a Blood Orange Cosmo, consisting of Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka, mixed with blood orange, cranberry, and lime.
Second, there’s the Quirk Blueberry Lemon & Lavender Hard Seltzer, crafted by Boulevard Brewing Co. Both these offerings cost $12.
If any of these fun items tantalize your taste buds, be sure to stop by Refreshment Port on your next Festival of the Arts visit.
