‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 is Officially in Development!
Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and the rest of the Ghost crew are apparently returning for a second season of Ahsoka.
The Dave Filoni-helmed series saw Ahsoka Tano and her apprentice Sabine travel to an unknown galaxy to rescue Jedi Ezra Bridger.

In many ways a continuation of the Star Wars Rebels animated series, Ahsoka saw the introduction of Ezra, Sabine, Hera Syndulla, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action.
With Thrawn also freed from exile, the former Imperial officer seems poised to be the next threat to the galaxy.

In addition to continuing Rebels‘ story, Ahsoka also saw the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 Remained in Doubt
While Ahsoka was well received by fans and critics alike and the titular star Rosario Dawson has previously expressed her desire to continue portraying the former Jedi, a second season of Ashoka was not a sure thing.

Following the conclusion of Ahsoka season 1, Dave Filoni revealed that he had an idea of where the story “should end up.”

“I’ve set up several threads that can continue. But if not, I feel like, well, at least I got Ezra home. And that was really important,” he said. “But there’s always a plan. I hope one day we’ll see it. It could be very cool, but it took a while to get [Ahsoka] done, so you never know.”
Lucasfilm Announces ‘Ahsoka’ Will Continue
Well, Ahsoka fans can now celebrate because the series is officially coming back for a second season.
Buried in the news that a new Mandalorian feature film titled The Mandalorian & Grogu is coming to theaters, Lucasfilm snuck in an announcement that Dave Filoni is working on Ahsoka season 2.
“The Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm’s ongoing feature-development slate. Including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works,” the studio said.

When we see Ashoka and the Ghost Crew again remains to be seen, but fans can take solace in the fact that the story will continue after all.
