PHOTOS: Check out the Walt Disney World Crowds for New Year’s Eve
Hello MickeyBlog friends and Disney fans! If you have been following along with us this holiday season, you know that the parks have been extremely busy!
We have seen record Genie+ prices, outrageously long wait times, and large holiday crowds.
Our MickeyBlog team is visiting Magic Kingdom and EPCOT today and reporting on the New Year’s Eve crowds.
So far… surprisingly, not too crowded- yet! That will change as the day goes on.
Let’s check out these early afternoon photos of today’s Walt Disney World crowds.
Magic Kingdom
These late morning – early afternoon photos show a pretty mellow picture! Surprisingly, the crowds are not too busy in Magic Kingdom yet.
Main Street and the Castle hub area show only a few guests this morning. We anticipate the crowds will come as the day goes on and we get closer to counting down to the new year.
Heading into Adventureland we see guests, but not large crowds.
It definitely makes for a nice and quiet afternoon.
Here is another great photo of Adventureland! It is a beautiful sunny day and just a little cool.
No long lines or extended queue in front of Pirates of the Caribbean
And definitely a quiet vibe just outside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
It is rare to see Magic Kingdom this calm after the last few days we have experienced.
Here we can see a little bit more activity – while there are plenty of guests the crowds are not as intense as they have been.
Though we definitely see longer lines at this fan- favorite attraction, the Haunted mansion.
And more guests are over in Fantasyland! But again, nothing like we have experienced the last few days.
Ready to hop aboard Seven Dwarfs Mine Train? The standby entrance today is 95 minutes.
And there is definitely a longer wait time for Winnie the Pooh!
Here is a great photo in t\Tomorrowland! Space Mountain shows a bit of a line on this beautiful day.
EPCOT
We definitely see some more crowds over at EPCOT! Check out everyone heading into the parks outside Spaceship Earth.
Current wait time for Test Track? 165 minutes!
World Showcase is not too busy yet though this is typical this early in the day. EPCOT will definitely get more crowded throughout the late afternoon and early evening.
Remy’s Rartatouille Adventure is currently at 125 minutes.
And Living with the Land has a 25 minute wait!
If you are lucky enough to be visiting the parks right now, you are enjoying a beautiful day and moderate wait times. These crowds and lines are anticipated to rise as the day goes on, so enjoy the fun while you can! Happy New Year!
