Two Disneyland Cast Members Injured After Late-Night Chemical Spill
Two Disneyland Cast Members were injured after an overnight chemical spill released a vapor cloud early Thursday morning.
According to the OC Disptach, Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a chemical spill just after 2 a.m. on Thursday at the theme park.
According to rep[orts, a vapor cloud of chlorine and another cleaning agent caused breathing difficulties for the two Cast Members. One Cast Member was treated at the park, while a second was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange County for further evaluation. According to a Disneyland Resort official, the hospitalized Cast Member has since been treated and released.
The same Disneyland official told The Patch that the vapor cloud was the result of a “small amount of cleaning products” that came into contact with each other.
The spill was cleaned up by the Anaheim Fire and Rescue and will not affect operations going forward.
No Guests Were Affected
The incident occurred after Disneyland closed for the night, and no guests were in the park at the time of the spill.
At this time, no further details have been released, although Anaheim Fire & Rescue is continuing to investigate. By the sound of things, despite the scary circumstances everybody seems to be realitevly ok.
