Temuera Morrison Gives a Disappointing Update on ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Season 2
With the introduction of The Mandalorian universe on steaming, Star Wars has expanded in ways that no one could have expected.
The New Republic era has been fleshed out in exciting ways between the interconnected stories of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ashoka.

With Skeleton Crew on the horizon and The Mandalorian and Ahsoka likely returning for another season, Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to.
What About Boba Fett?
While we have certainly not seen the last of Din Djarrin and Ahsoka Tano, the future of Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett remains more clouded.

Although The Book of Boba Fett certainly had its legion of fans, the uneven reception to the series and the decision to infuse it with Mandalorian-centric storylines have left a second season of the series in doubt.
In a recent interview with Newshub, Morrison revealed that there has been “no word yet” from Disney+ about a second season of the series.

“No word yet. I don’t even know if there is going to be a Season 2. I don’t know what’s going on. We’re coming out of this downtime period so I think everyone is settling back in and it all goes back to budgets and what they want to do and how much everything costs. I really don’t know. Judging by the fans I’ve met, they all want a Season 2 of Boba Fett, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Morrison Could Return in Other Stories
Even if he Book of Boba Fett does not return for a second season, there will likely be opportunities for Morrison to return as the iconic bounty hunter.
In addition to the possibility that Morrison could return in The Mandalorian Season 4, there is also Dave Filoni’s upcoming film that will bring together the heroes of the New Republic.

Still, as someone who enjoyed The Book of Boba Fett, it would be great to see the series return for a second season.
