Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Lights Up EPCOT
Isn’t this a pretty sight!? Our friend Nick from MagicalNewsLIVE is over at EPCOT this evening where, for the first time, we are seeing Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind all lit up!
Here’s a look at the illuminated Nova Corps Starblaster! Its really awe-inspiring with its wings all lit up!
In the image above you can see the Starblaster from a bit further back along with the stunning purple illuminations coming from the pavilion itself.
The queuing area definitely has those out-of-this-world vibes.
In addition to Nick’s photos, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley also took to Instagram to share a few images with us of Cosmic Rewind at night:

According to Riddley, Disney Imagineers have been toiling away to come up with a look at allows the pavilion to show off its character and to fit into the NEW aesthetic of a reimagined EPCOT and World Discovery neighborhood. The goal was to ensure that the people of Xandar had a suitable beacon now that they’ve arrived at EPCOT.
According to Riddley, the finished lighting design really brings together that Guardians of the Galaxy color palette. Imagineers updated the pre-existing Universe of Energy building and still wanted to highlight the beautiful points of the existing facade. Designers were going for a sculptural, chiseled look for the lighting with the Starblaster in the front courtyard as the centerpiece.
