Family Accidentally Purchased $10,000 in Disney+ Streaming Gift Cards
Imagine buying $10,000 worth of Disney gift cards thinking they were going to go towards your Disney World trip, instead, they were only good for the Disney+ streaming service. Well, this happened to one family.

A Tiktoker named Andie took to the social media app in hopes of finding help to fix this crazy situation. Her parents purchased $10,000 in what they thought were Disney gift cards to be used toward tickets and food. Her family of 16 has been planning a trip to Disney since 2020 but had to postpone to Christmastime 2023 because of Covid.

Once the family started to try and add the gift cards to their account, they were met with errors. “That’s over 70 years of Disney Plus,” Andie said in her TikTok video. She said she doesn’t understand how someone could let her elderly parents, who don’t know anything about the streaming service, purchase the Disney+ streaming gift cards in the first place.

They weren’t able to return the gift cards to the store because her parents had already removed the security strip from the back of the cards.

After her TikTok videos started to go viral, their luck changed. Bill Hambrook, the manager of Disney Gift Cards, contacted the family and told them he would turn those Disney+ streaming gift cards into $10,000 worth of Disney Park gift cards.
Thankfully, everything will be resolved for this family and they will finally get to enjoy their family vacation!
