In a year that saw Marvel struggle at both the box office and in streaming, Spider-Man continued to reign supreme.
After Spider-Man: No Way Home brought movie theaters from the brink of collapse in 2021, a different version of the web-slinger returned this year to dominate the box office once again.
While MCU films like Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels bombed at the box office, the animated Spider-Man: Across the Universe showed that superhero fatigue can be defeated after all.
