Severe Weather Is Expected At Disney World This Weekend
Friday and Saturday could potentially bring some severe weather to the Disney World area, according to local meteorologists.
A low-pressure system is being monitored in the gulf as it develops and heads towards Florida.
It is expected to be a heavy rainmaker with gusty winds for the weekend. Wind gusts as high as 45 mph could move into the area on Friday, with sustained winds of 25-35 mph.
Saturday morning is when the rain will move in. The day will start off cloudy and windy, followed by heavy rains moving in from the south. The rain will stick around through Sunday morning, expecting about 2-5 inches of rainfall. The wind gusts could reach 50-55mph on Saturday and into early Sunday morning.
There is still a lot that can change with this system, but Disney goers can expect heavy rain at times with gusty winds starting Friday and Saturday.
