Flower Drop Cocktail Embraces Festival Feel
It’s like Mother Nature knew that the 2023 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival kicked off today. With a bright blue sky, warm sun and above-average temperatures in the area, the refreshing beverages of this year’s five-month event continue to delight us as we tour this year’s booths.
Situated at the center of World Celebration, Connections Eatery offers a number of beverages perfect for a warm day. During this festival, the sweet and fragrant Flower Drop Cocktail joins the list of options.
The spring-centric mixture features elderflower notes thanks to the addition of St. Germaine Liqueur to the cocktail. The $13.50 drink uses Tito’s Handmade Vodka and lemonade as its base.
MickeyBlogger Miranda tried the cocktail as the festival opened this afternoon. Noting the cocktail was quite sweet, she still found it “really light for a hot Florida day.” She also commented that the cocktail seemed quite reminiscent of a classic Lemon Drop but with more of an orange-flavor than the traditional drink.
Connections Cafe Adds Waffle Too
Housed in the same building, Connections Cafe also joined the festival fun today. Also home to EPCOT’s Starbucks location, the cafe has become famous for its liege waffles.
During this festival, the establishment added another waffle option featuring one of the 2023 EPCOT International Flower and Garden mascots, Orange Bird.
The always-smiling Magic Kingdom icon appears on much of this year’s merchandise as well. We can’t wait to share more ways that the festival celebrates this nostalgic bird!
