According to this report, an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred roughly two miles from Disneyland.
The sudden nature of the earthquake forced Disneyland Resort to close most of its attractions temporarily.
Guests at the park reported that only four attractions remained open at Disney California Adventure.
According to the Disneyland app, those rides were Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic.
Disneyland Park suffered substantially more closures.
In fact, at one point, the Disneyland app reported that the only rides in operation were Jungle Cruise and Mad Tea Party.
Since everyone is safe, let’s take a moment to appreciate the thought of the ground shaking during a ride on Mad Tea Party. Yikes!
I’m sure people are fine because the city of Anaheim’s social media page listed the following:

We are awaiting more details with no major concerns at this time. pic.twitter.com/ypF9BZ4A2M

In case you can’t read it, the message is: “A brief but noticeable earthquake was felt in Anaheim shortly after 8 p.m. Monday. We are awaiting more details with no major concerns at this time.”
The park stayed open until midnight on Monday, December 4th. At 11:30 p.m. local time, several other attractions showed they were operational.
As you might anticipate, the wait times were decidedly low. The combination of the late hour and the earthquake chased away many guests by this point.
