ALL of the Holiday Storytellers at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!
The 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays kicked off last week and it’s full of festive food, merchandise, entertainment, and decorations. We were there to check everything out!
Some of the most unique entertainment are all of the Holiday Storytellers around the park. These are located throughout World Showcase and each one talks about their culture’s different holiday traditions. Let’s go through all of them!
Holiday Storytellers
First up, we have the Las Posadas Celebration in Mexico! This includes dancers, piñatas, and music from Mariachi Cobre.
Next we head to Norway, where we meet the Mischievous Magical Barn Santa!
Barn Santa visits Sigrid, an unsuspecting Christmas storyteller, according to Disney.
In China, you can see the vibrant performance from the Chinese Lion Dancer.
This will bring you good fortune and happiness in the Lunar New Year!
In Italy, you can listen to the tale of La Befana.
This is a kindhearted witch who visits children while they sleep on the Eve of the Epiphany.
In Japan, the Daruma Storyteller is out every day!
You can hear the story of the Daruma doll and the Japanese customs of the New Year.
Between the Morocco and France Pavilions, check out the Hanukkah Storyteller! They will recount traveling abroad to check out the music and traditions of Hanukkah from around the world.
In France, Pere Noel is present!
He will help you rediscover the magic of Christmas through the letter from a child.
In the United Kingdom Pavilion, Father Christmas pays a visit! He shares the holiday traditions of the U.K.
Finally, in Canada, you can listen to the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs! They will explore the holiday customs from the different regions of Canada through a musical tour of the Great White North.
