PHOTOS: See Where the Holiday Storytellers Will Be at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!
The holidays have arrived in Disney World and it’s almost time for one of the main events — the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! The festival takes place from November 24th to December 30th.
EPCOT is getting ready for the festival with a bunch of decorations, which we checked out the other day. And now, we’re seeing even more preparations for the festival at EPCOT!
Holiday Storytellers
The Holiday Storytellers are part of the entertainment at the festival. Around World Showcase, you can listen to these Storytellers talk about the holiday traditions of their cultures.
And, even though the festival doesn’t begin for another week, EPCOT is already setting up for these Storytellers!
In Mexico, we saw the decorations are up for Las Posadas Celebration, which will feature dancers, piñatas, and the music of Mariachi Cobre.
This will only be happening Sundays through Thursdays during the festival.
Moving over to Norway, we spotted the stage when A Mischievous Magical Barn Santa will share his story every day.
Disney is calling him “an unsuspecting Christmas storyteller.”
Here’s another look:
Over in Italy, we saw the area where La Befana will be performing every day.
This is a kindhearted witch who visits sleeping young children on the Eve of the Epiphany.
In Japan, the Daruma Storyteller will be out in the pavilion every day.
This will be where you can hear the story of the Daruma doll and the Japanese customs of the New Year.
The stage was also being set up in Morocco!
The scroll next to the stage talks about how “Celebrations are the Spice of Life.”
The France Pavilion will be home to Père Noël.
Every day, you can rediscover the magic of Christmas through the letter of a delightful child.
In the United Kingdom pavilion, Father Christmas will be appearing every day!
He will share the U.K. traditions of the holiday over here.
Finally, in Canada, the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs will be on stage every day.
They will be sharing customs from different regions of Canada by taking you on a musical tour of the country!
Here’s another look:
These aren’t all of the Storytellers that will be at the festival this year, but these are the only preparations we’ve seen so far. More are surely on the way.
