PHOTOS: The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Is Ready for Christmas!
The Disneyland Resort is busy celebrating the holiday season!
From bright ride overlays to festive foods, there are so many ways to celebrate the holidays while visiting the parks! And if you’re staying at a resort hotel, the holiday magic isn’t limited to just the parks. Let’s take a look at how the Grand Californian is celebrating the season!
The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Whether you’re staying at the Grand Californian or just passing through, you’ll definitely want to spend some time in the hotel’s lobby during the holiday season!
The lobby’s Christmas tree is themed after the hotel, with lanterns inspired by the hotel’s iconic sliding doors…
…and deep red and gold decorations.
There are other trees sprinkled throughout the hotel, matching the same theme.
The hotel is also decorated with wreaths on the inside…
…and outside!
And of course, there’s the Grand Gingerbread House! Every year, the hotel adds a brand new gingerbread house to the lobby that’s edible!
This year, the gingerbread house is 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide, weighing in at 700 pounds. As you can see, Chip ‘n Dale decorated the house (that looks like the hotel)…
…with treats…
…icing windows…
…and 25 Hidden Mickeys!
They even left a tray of treats for Santa!
So head over to the Grand Californian to get a look (and whiff) of the holiday decorations! And we’ll keep updating you with the latest from around the resort, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
