The Perfect Drink to Warm You Up at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays
It’s the first day of the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays and we’re here checking everything out! There are all kinds of fun things to do, but we’re here to talk about some food right now.
There are a bunch of different food booths at the festival this year, and we’re going to visit a returning one. Let’s head on over to Nochebuena Cocina!
Nochebuena Cocina
Nochebuena Cocina is located over in World Discovery, before you get to Test Track if you’re walking over from World Showcase.
Here’s a look at the menu:
The first item at the booth is returning from last year. This is the plant-based tamale with chorizo, plant-based cotija cheese, and spicy red chile sauce for $5.50.
Next is another returning item — the pernil, which is mojo pork with tostones and ketchup-mayonnaise for $5.50.
Finally, there is the Spiced Chocolate Cookie for $3, which is an item on the Cookie Stroll! We’ll be reviewing that with the other cookies in a little bit, so stay tuned.
Now for the drinks!
There is one new drink over here — the Ponche Navideño. It’s a non-alcoholic Mexican Christmas punch with apples, pears, guava, oranges, dried hibiscus, brown sugar, tamarind, cinnamon sticks, and clove for $4.
We absolutely loved this! It has a lot of apple flavor and you also get some of that orange and cinnamon.
It’s very subtly sweet and there are a lot of spices in it as well! The drink is also served warm, so it’s great on a day that’s on the cooler side. We’d definitely recommend this one!
There is also a returning Horchata Beer you can get at this booth from 81Bay Brewing Co. It’s $5.75 for 6 oz. and $9.75 for 12 oz.
We were expecting this to have some sweetness to it, or at least a little bit of flavor similar to horchata, but this really just tasted like a pale wheat beer.
