Could The ‘Loki’ Finale Pave the Way For Iron Man’s Return? Tom Hiddleston Weighs In
In their story about the behind-the-scenes drama at Marvel Studios, Variety reported that one possible solution for the studio’s recent struggles could be reviving Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow for another Avengers movie.
While both characters were killed off in Avengers: Endgame, as any comic book fan knows, death isn’t always final.

The thrilling conclusion of Loki, which saw the God of Mischief learn to control his time-slipping ability, before eventually forming a new construct of the multiverse, could be the avenue that Marvel needs to revive some of its most popular characters.
Tom Hiddleston Weighs In
In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hiddleston was asked if Loki’s new powers could theoretically revive Iron Man.

“This guy. This is investigative journalism right here!” Hiddleston replied, making finger guns at Fallon. “I mean, time-slipping, technically gives Loki some interesting moves he can make.”
Hiddleston then continued, explaining “I suppose, yeah, he can move from past, present, future. I know that I can time-slip. I don’t know that other characters can time-slip.”
In the end, if Hiddleston knew any secret Marvel plans, he remained coy. Still, the ‘Loki’ star did point out that his character had died a time or two.

“Speaking for myself, Loki’s died a few times. I’m still here,” Hiddleston said on “The Tonight Show.” “I don’t know that death is necessarily… I mean death is — death is up for grabs, as an existential question. That’s all I can give you.”
Should Marvel Revive Their Heroes?
While Marvel could always theoretically revive one of their fallen heroes, the studio would do so to their own peril.
Marvel: Avengers: Endgame
Any revival of Iron Man, or reset of the MCU would risk cheapening the stories that fans fell in love with.
Still, there is no doubt that a return of Downey, Evans, or Johannson would give the MCU a shot of adrenaline that the studio may determine it needs.
