Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course Opening Delayed This Month
Earlier this week, we received exciting news that Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course — one of the premium greens in “The Happiest Place on Turf” at Walt Disney World — would be expanding.
Having been available as a 14-hole course, this expansion into an 18-hole course was certainly a welcome update among Disney golfing fans. However, while this reimagined offering was originally slated to reopen on November 15th, we’ve just received word that this might take a little longer than expected…
Now, it will be from Wednesday, November 22nd that guests will be able to play all 18 holes, thus an extra week away from the original announcement.
So, if you had planned to visit in November, be sure to take note of this amendment!
At present, the entire course has been undergoing “reimagining” works, which are on track to be completed in the middle of 2024. When this happens, the course will be a beautiful Par-72 layout with those 18 holes for play.
So, knowing that you may be wondering how the course is reopening with 18 holes this early, as work has yet to be completed. Well, we have been notified that, as the finishing touches are still being made on the course, holes 15 and 16 have been temporarily shortened in order to allow for full use of all 18 greens.
Next year, the course will be fully open in its intended Par-72 layout, and we can’t wait to try it out!
But, if you just can’t wait until next year to play on the fully finalized course, it’s great to know that guests can still take advantage of that expansion before the holiday season at Walt Disney World. It’ll open on November 22nd, and more information can be found on the course website here.
Enjoy!
