Work Continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Work continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Imagineers are hard at work in this major transformation.
Work started almost immediately after Splash Mountain’s final drop through the briar patch, and we’ve been monitoring it ever since.
Check out what we saw this morning…
Mountain Formation
Scaffolding surrounds the entire front side of the mountain, but it doesn’t restrict the view. You can see that the top of the mountain seems fully formed.
Plastic sheets still cover part of the front side of the mountain.
Greenery surrounds the lower parts of the mountain on the front and the sides.
Also, work continues all around the mountain, including near the ride’s entrance.
Water Tower, Trees, and More
Elements have been added in between the mountain and the bridge over the last few months.
The water tower featuring the words “Tiana’s Foods” stands tall in the front. A Princess Tiana crown adorns the top of the water tower.
Trees continue to take form in the same area, near the water tower.
Construction materials at the end of the drop area show that work continues on the ride system, too.
Active Work Area
Imagineers work on this ride transformation daily. Today, cranes lift new materials into the construction area.
We also spotted workers in different areas of scaffolding around the mountain.
Walls prevent guests from accessing the entire construction area, and it will remain this way for a while. This extensive project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024.
The Mural
While work continues throughout Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, some elements are already complete.
Previously, we watched this beautiful mural take form. Artists hand-painted this beautiful scene portraying Louis.
He’s undoubtedly playing some beautiful jazz tunes on his trumpet!
It appears things are on track as work continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We hope it stays that way so there are no delays to this much-anticipated opening!
