Things Are Looking Starry for the Holiday Season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
As if Disney’s Hollywood Studios wasn’t already star-studded enough, a festive flurry of dazzling new décor has just arrived on Sunset Boulevard.
Get ready to be swept up into the season, as the holidays have well and truly arrived at Walt Disney World!

Good morning readers, from Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Our reporters are here on sunny Sunset Boulevard, where Disney really seems to be putting the “tinsel” into “tinsel town” this winter!

As you can see from our gorgeous photos, a scattering of stellar new decorations has been installed overnight on this strip.
There’s so much holiday cheer in the air, so of course we had to share it with you straight away!

Now, yes, I can hear some of you at the back, and you’re right.
It’s October — Christmas doesn’t start until at least November… so why is Disney so full of merriment already?

Well, if you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog over the past week or so, you’ll no doubt have realized that the resort is already completely caught up in the holiday spirit.
First came the eagerly-anticipated details as to what guests could look forward to over the holiday period, followed swiftly by a sleigh-load full of festive new merchandise!

Now, slowly but surely, the theme parks are starting to transition into holiday mode themselves, one strand of tinsel at a time. Just the other day we were admiring the adorable charm of the decorations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we’re thrilled to be seeing updates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, too!

So, with all that being said, what exactly are these decorations that have gotten guests feeling full of festivity this sunny Thursday?

As you can see from the pictures, it’s a series of red and white tinsel stars that have been added to Sunset Boulevard, each hanging from street signs and lamps along the strip.

They’re so fun, they make even the looming Hollywood Tower Hotel look almost merry!

Now, it’s worth noting that it was also stars that hung on Sunset during last year’s festive season. And, by the looks of things, they might be the exact same stars themselves.

If you can tell from our photos, some of the stars seem to be shining whiter and brighter than the rest, with others having a bit of a dated, yellow tinge to them.

Thankfully, the festive appeal of the stars isn’t lost despite this inconsistency, and we’re glad to see that Disney opted to reuse and recycle their decorations for 2023!

After all, there’s no denying that Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be The Place To Be this Christmas!
With the highly-anticipated Jollywood Nights set to kick off with a jingle very soon, this park is going to be full of that holiday party atmosphere that guests are not going to want to miss. If you’ve not booked your tickets yet, be sure to grab them soon!

Back to the decorations, however, where it’s interesting to note that we saw these same stars appear for the 2022 holiday season exactly a year ago today, on October 27th.
From that point on, other areas of the park began receiving decorations and festive updates, until the park totally glittered in time for Christmas by early November.
