In the film, Mickey and Minnie go picnicking but make the mistake of bringing Pluto along.
The Spider and the Fly Released (1931)
On this day in 1931, The Spider and the Fly was released.
Based on the famous poem by Mary Howitt, the film tells the story of a conflict between a villainous spider and his fly foe.
Dumbo Premieres (1941)
On this day in 1941, Disney’s Dumbo premiered.
The fourth Walt Disney animated film told the story of a young circus elephant ridiculed because of his enormous ears.
How to Swim Released (1942)
On this day in 1942, the Goofy cartoon How to Swim was released.
The film taught swimming and diving Goofy style.
Rugged Bear Released (1953)
On this day in 1953, Rugged Bear was released.
The cartoon featured the debut of Humphrey the Bear!
Walt Disney World’s Three-Day Opening Celebration Begins (1971)
On this day in 1971, Walt Disney World’s three-day grand opening celebration began!
On hand for the festivities were Rock Hudson, Robert Stack, Walter Brennan, Sebastian Cabot, Fred MacMurray, and Annette Funicello.
World Showcase Dedicated (1982)
On this day in 1982, the World Showcase was dedicated at EPCOT Center.
The park’s new nighttime spectacular Carnival de Lumiere debuted as part of the festivities!
Nine Dragons Opens (1985)
On this day in 1985, The Nine Dragons opened in EPCOT Center.
The restaurant would become the China pavilion’s signature restaurant.
Big Hero 6 Premieres (2014)
On this day in 2014, Big Hero 6 premiered.
The film was the first Disney animated feature film to feature Marvel Comics characters.
Once Upon a Snowman Premiered (2020)
Finally, on this day in 2020, Once Upon a Snowman premiered on Disney+.
The film follows Olaf in his first days after coming to life.
