NEWS: Pocahontas, Meeko, & Goofy Meet & Greets Return to Animal Kingdom!
Many things changed at Disney World during the pandemic. There were a lot of different safety precautions put into place, including in-person meet and greets going away.

Many of these things, including meet and greets, have returned over the past couple of years as things went back to normal. But, not all of the same meet and greets came back — we have still been missing some characters.
However, some of these characters are now meeting and greeting again in Animal Kingdom!
New Meet & Greets in Animal Kingdom
Pocahontas, Meeko, and Goofy have returned to meeting and greeting people in person in Animal Kingdom! These characters have only been seen on the flotillas around the park since the pandemic began.
Cast Members told us that they are testing out these character meet and greets in person instead of having them on the flotillas (which are the boats that move through the rivers in Animal Kingdom carrying characters that wave at guests).

First up, we met Pocahontas in the Oasis! She was toward the back right of the Oasis if you’re coming from the entrance of the park.
We haven’t seen her out and about in the park in so long! She looked pretty happy to see guests again as well.
Pocahontas is wearing her signature look from her movie and absolutely rocking it.
Make sure you go say hello to her!

Next, we found Meeko in the Oasis as well! He’s located more toward the front right of the Oasis, but he’s also been seen near the front left, too (right after you enter into the park!).
Isn’t he just the CUTEST?! He’s just so fuzzy and friendly!
Meeko did a lot of fun poses for us so we could snap his pic. He’s certainly the friendliest raccoon I’ve ever seen!
We really hope he sticks around for a while!
Finally, we found Goofy over in DinoLand, U.S.A.! He’s located over near TriceraTop Spin.
He’s in his Dino-Bash outfit, which is all kinds of colorful! Yep, he even has dinos on his pants.
We’re loving this look for him. Goofy has his own backdrop and queue at his meet and greet, so it’s a bit more official than the other two we’ve seen today.
You can definitely stop in and say hi before you hop on TriceraTop Spin!
These characters all meet at random times throughout the day and do not have their schedules posted anywhere. So, you’ll just have to keep your eye out for them when you’re in the park!
But, we can tell you where exactly to look for them. We’ve circled the spots we mentioned on the map below!
However, keep in mind that these could change going forward. We also don’t know how long the characters will be around since they’re technically in a testing period (but hopefully they become permanent!).
