The attraction–which literally takes guests through the journey of water–officially opened to guests today! Here’s everything you need to know about joining the attraction’s queue, as well as what crowds looked like on its first official day of operation.

Journey of Water officially opened to all EPCOT park guests today and the crowds were exactly what you’d expect on opening day.

The attraction is filled with interactive areas; however, we found those a little difficult to access today.

If you want to take part in the attraction’s interactive features, you’ll just have to wait for a turn. We promise it’s worth it!

Virtual Queue
To experience Journey of Water, you’ll need to join the attraction’s virtual queue through the My Disney Experience App. You can join the virtual queue by clicking on the “Virtual Queue” button listed for the attraction…

… or by clicking “Join Virtual Queue” provided in the Virtual Queue box on the app’s main page.

The virtual queue page will show you what “boarding groups” are currently allowed in the attraction, as well as how long the estimated wait is. Once you get a boarding group, you’ll receive a push notification when your group is called.
