JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season is Returning to EPCOT for the Holidays

We may have finally just made our way to October, but Walt Disney World is already starting to get geared up for the holiday season.

As most Disney fans know, Christmas comes early in Walt Disney World, and in less than a month Christmas trees will abound, Santa will be meeting guests, and it will be snowing on Main Street USA.

While the Magic Kingdom is clearly the hub for Disney’s festivities, EPCOT is also a magical place to spend the holidays.

Today, Disney gave fans an idea of what to expect at EPCOT this holiday season, including the unveiling of the World Showcase Holiday Kitchens, the return of Santa at the Odyssey pavilion, and even a Cookie Stroll.

While all of the news sounds exciting, not to mention delicious, I want to draw your attention to one of the more understated announcements that Disney made.

JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season

As part of the park’s holiday festivities, EPCOT will once again host JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season in the World Showcase Plaza.

The fun festivities will feature uplifting gospel and R&B singers celebrating both Christmas and Kwanzaa.

If you have ever dreamed of caroling in EPCOT, this is your chance. According to Disney, however, the biggest challenge will be standing still.
