NEWS: Disney Announces Soft Opening of Journey of Water in EPCOT
Well, if this isn’t exciting news! Walt Disney World just announced that the much-anticipated Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana in EPCOT is set to soft open tomorrow, October 6, 2023!
During the soft opening of Journey of Water, Guests can check out the attraction on select days between October 5 to October 15, 2023, during certain hours.

The hours the attraction will be open for all Guests will be random, and a virtual queue might be in place that Guests can join at 9 am EST.

Journey of Water will officially open to all Guests starting October 16, 2023.
Some guests, including Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members, have already had the chance to experience the attraction over the past few weeks, including MickeyBlog!
Per Disney, Journey of Water is described as, “A self-guided outdoor trail where you can play with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again.”
Spring
Guests visiting the attraction will learn why water is our friend, how water connects us all, and why water needs protection through several interactive activities throughout the trail.
There will be two different ways to experience the attraction — wet or dry! Two different paths are offered so guests can get wet or stay on the dry side.

In addition, we recently learned that none other than Moana herself will be meeting and greeting guests at the entrance to the attraction!
