New Halloween Graveyard Cupcake is Giving Us Life!
If the start of October has got you dying to try some treats at Walt Disney World, read on.
There’s a delectable new cupcake on offer over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it’s one you’d be a mortified to miss!
Now that spooky season has officially begun, it’s the perfect time to start enjoying the tastiest of treats throughout Walt Disney World. We’re talking candy, toffee, pumpkin spice, all things nice… and your MickeyBlog team here are trying it all!
Today, our mission has brought us trick-or-treating over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the Backlot Express Restaurant has tempted us with a promising and creepy new offering. Let’s go check it out!
Looking at the menu, we can see that the new Graveyard Cupcake has just materialized at the Backlot, especially for the limited-time Halloween season. Costing $5.99, this cupcake sounded perfectly creepy and intriguing, so you best bet we placed an order to try it out!
But what does this morbid muffin consist of? I hear you cry.
Well, as we can see here, this is a classic chocolate cupcake, stuffed with a fudge filling and topped with a mountain of cookies ‘n cream buttercream. Sounds like a Halloween candy heaven!
To really bring the graveyard-inspired horror to the dessert, the cupcake has been finished with a white chocolate bone, alongside a chocolate cookie tombstone perched on top. There’s a scattering of cute, Halloween-themed sprinkles around the edge to finish off the aesthetic, and we couldn’t be more obsessed with how fun this cake looks!
It was our MickeyBlogger Kayla who tried this out for us today, and we’re happy to report that she thought the cupcake was simply delicious. Kayla told us the cake itself was dense, rich, and chocolatey, with the most perfect amount of cookies ‘n cream frosting to compliment the flavor.
The small amount of fudgy filling was tasty and reminiscent of a ganache and, while the decoration pieces didn’t add much flavor, they definitely contributed to the photogenic cuteness of the dessert!
Unlike a lot of Disney cupcakes, this one was rich and flavorful enough to not be an overpowering mass of sugary-sweetness, making it a perfect, candy-lovers’ treat to enjoy during the Halloween season.
Do you think you’ll be ordering this one next time you’re passing the Backlot Express?
But, if chocolate isn’t your thing, don’t worry.
There are plenty of other unique and enticing treats to be found across Walt Disney World, including this adorable Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart from just across the park at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
