There’s a (Space) Mountain of Scaffolding in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Right Now
Tomorrowland has reached whole new levels of “futuristic” this week, with masses of newly-installed scaffolding currently blocking off one of the most beloved Disney attractions.
Just what’s going on in the Disneyland Park this week, and what is it looking like over there? Keep reading, and let’s find out!
Well, upon landing in Tomorrowland yesterday, our MickeyBloggers didn’t have to strain to notice something was amiss over at Space Mountain.
Usually looking pristine and space-y with clean-cut sides and sci-fi-reminiscent facades, the attraction was instead covered by a whole bunch of unattractive scaffolding.
A space mountain of scaffolding, if you will.
Especially with all the ongoing construction over in Toontown, plus the Treehouse works in Adventureland, Disneyland Park really is really quite the hive of activity at the moment!
So, what is it that’s going on over here in Tomorrowland, exactly?
Well, while we can’t know the specific ins and outs of what’s going on beneath all that canvas and poles, we do know that Space Mountain will be closed at Disneyland until October 27th.
We’re assuming this closure will just be for regular checks and necessary refreshments on the attraction, but we’ll certainly be back to inspect the place for any larger differences once it reopens before Halloween!
So, if you’re at the Disneyland Resort this fall, be prepared to find Space Mountain closed over in Tomorrowland.
As you can see from our photos, there is plenty of signage up in the area to advise guests of the lack of “rocket launches,” but we’re sure you’ll still have plenty of fun enjoying all the other amazing attractions the park has to offer!
