Walkway Between the Polynesian and Grand Floridian Closed to Construction
If you’re staying or spending time at either Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort then you’ll want to take note of the following construction update. We can confirm after our visit to the Polynesian Resort this weekend that the walkway between the Grand Floridian and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is now closed until further notice.
Those staying at these monorail resorts are usually able to walk between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. In addition, the Grand Floridian also has a walkway that takes you right to the front gates of the Magic Kingdom. With that in mind, the walkways are quite popular for guests wanting to take a leisurely stroll around Walt Disney World.
We were told that the reason for the walkway closure was that construction was being carried out along the route.
Signs are up along the Polynesian and Grand Floridan walkway notifying guests of the closure.
We will continue to follow this closure closely and will share further construction updates at Disney WOrld’s Deluxe monorail properties.
