Water Slide at Polynesian Resort’s Lava Pool Will Close For a Month Starting January 3rd
If you’ll be ringing in the new year at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World then you’ll want to take note of the following refurbishment. Disney announced yesterday that the water slide at the Lava Pool, which is the main pool area on property, will be closed for refurbishment beginning on January 3, 2023.
The deluxe property cited routine maintenance as the reason for the month-long closure which is expect to remain in effect through early February.
Guests should note that the Lava Pool itself will remain open during this time. It is only the water slide that will be off limits. In addition, the Oasis Pool on property will also be available for use.
For those unfamiliar, the Lava Pool is home to Disney Polynesian Village Resort’s 142 foot waterslide. The pool itself has a zero-depth entry point. Nearby you’ll also find a lounge and bar area serving refreshments and snacks that you can enjoy poolside!
