Why You Need to Get to Restaurantosaurus in Disney World Before October 15th!
If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that Disney LOVES a celebration. There are regular events happening throughout the year to celebrate different cultures, holidays, and more.
Right now, Disney World is celebrating Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month! There is a ton of limited-edition food available around the resort, so let’s go on over to Animal Kingdom to try some.
Restaurantosaurus
There are two items available over at Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand U.S.A. for the celebration!
Cuban Sandwich
First up, we have the Cuban Sandwich! This is roasted lechón, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, yellow mustard, and pickles on a buttery Cuban-style bread served with french fries for $11.99.
Disney has little blurbs on the menus with the significance of select items to the celebration. For this sandwich, they wrote: “Hailing from the Cuban-American Communities of Tampa and Miami circa 1900, the Cuban Sandwich, with its pressed Cuban Bread, Ham, Pork, Swiss, Yellow Mustard, and Pickles, has become a staple across America.”
This sure does look delicious, but how does it taste? Let’s find out!
Well, MickeyBlogger Miranda absolutely loved this sandwich! She said it tasted like the most delicious advanced version of a grilled cheese.
It was super cheesy and the pickles are great (as long as you like pickles!).
The fries are the standard fries you usually find over at Restaurantosaurus, but they help make this item into a full meal. It’s also a great one to share!
Encanto Cupcake
Next up, we have the NEW Encanto Cupcake! This is a vanilla cake with guava and dulce de leche filling, vanilla frosting, a white chocolate Encanto decoration, milk chocolate leaves, and crispy pearls for $6.29.
This cupcake is obviously paying homage to Disney’s movie Encanto, which is having a big day today in Disney (check out why right here!).
Miranda said the filling in this cupcake is the star! It’s amazing and different from what you can usually find in the cupcakes around Disney World.
The rest of the cupcake is just your standard, sweet Disney cupcake. It’s great if you have a craving for something sweet!
We did think the top had waaaay too much frosting on it, but that’s typical of Disney cupcakes and you’ll love it if you love frosting.
Overall, it’s super cute and worth trying if you want to taste that delicious filling!
These items are available from now through October 15th, so get them while you can! Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates.
