Disney World Now Offering 50% Off Hotel Discount For Florida Evacuees
Hurricane Idalia is currently on its way to hit Florida, and Disney World is preparing for the storm alongside many Floridians.
While we’ve already talked about what happens in Disney World in the event of severe weather, Disney just released some updates for select guests. Find out all the details here!
Weather Updates
We’ve already told you about Disney’s weather requests for Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground guests, and now we have a few updates for other guests around the resort.
First, change and cancellation fees will be waived for check-in dates of August 28th through September 4th. Guests who are currently in Disney World and unable to travel as planned can receive a discounted rate to extend their stay through August 31st.
Next, Florida residents evacuating from Idalia as well as first responders assisting in recovery efforts can receive 50% off Disney World hotel reservations between August 29th to 31st, 2023. Evacuees must call 407-W-DISNEY and first responders can call 407-828-3200 (Option 3).
Availability is limited and this discount applies to new discounts only.
Disney also noted that Disney World is “prepared to once again serve as a staging area for storm-related recovery efforts for the state of Florida,” so we’ll be monitoring their website for more updates.
