Construction Walls Are DOWN Around Journey of Water in EPCOT
A new attraction — unlike any other — is opening soon in EPCOT!
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will be a self-guided water trail located in the World Nature area of EPCOT, where guests can explore water’s connection to not only humans but the world around us. The attraction is expected to open in late 2023, and now we have a BIG update!
Construction Walls Are Down
When areas around Disney World undergo construction, Disney typically erects construction walls to block the view from guests in the parks.
Of course, depending on what park you’re in, a ride on the PeopleMover or Monorail can get you a unique view of the construction areas!
In EPCOT, Journey of Water construction has been obscured by the large construction walls you can see below in a past photo. However, things have changed!
During our EPCOT visit today, we noticed that the construction walls surrounding Journey of Water are officially down!
A rolling hedge barrier has replaced the wall for now, but you can get a better view of the upcoming attraction than possible with the walls.
Several structures can now be seen from the walkway, including the tiki torches that recently went up.
You can also see the large rock formation featuring the Heart of Te Fiti symbol!
You can see it even better below.
Cast Member previews of Journey of Water are scheduled to take place between September 1st and 22nd, which means the opening date of the attraction will likely be revealed soon! We’ll be watching closely for more updates.
