NEW Disney Parks App Change Makes Things Easier for Genie+ Users
Genie+ is the way to go if you want to skip standby lines in Disney Parks now.

Although it will cost you a fee per day, a daily purchase of Genie+ (per person, per day) gets you access to much faster Lightning Lanes. While the process of booking Lightning Lanes is fairly straightforward within the Disney World and Disneyland apps, it can get complicated — especially when you aren’t aware of which rides actually offer Lightning Lanes.

Now Disney has made a tiny change that will make the Genie+ experience a little easier!
New Lightning Lane Filter
After updating our apps, we noticed a new toggle switch on the Tip Board section of the Disney World and Disneyland apps. This is where guests can check ride wait times, purchase Genie+, and book Lightning Lanes.
Not all rides in every park offer Lightning Lanes, and this new switch allows you to filter the list exclusively to Genie+ Lightning Lane options.

If you toggle the switch on, you can see below how the Astro Orbiter is no longer listed there anymore, as it’s not a ride that offers a Lightning Lane.
This change should make it easier to book Lightning Lane selections, rather than have to search through every attraction!

The Disneyland app has also added this toggle switch, so you can use the same Lightning Lane filter at both Disney World and Disneyland!
