BIG NEWS: Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland Resort Gets an Opening Date
We’ve got big news on this Friday afternoon. Disney has officially announced the opening date of Tiana’s Palace restaurant in Disneyland Park. Get ready, Tiana’s Palace is opening on September 7, 2023. This re-imagined quick-service restaurant is inspired by Princess Tiana from the beloved animated film The Princess and the Frog.

The Tiana’s Palace restaurant will be another exciting step in bringing Princess Tiana’s stories to life in New Orleans Square. The first step was the opening of Eudora’s Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets at New Orleans Square.
Coming soon will be the culmination of the presence of The Princess and the Frog at Disneyland Resort – Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently under construction. The replacement for Splash Mountain is slated to open at some point in 2024.
Tiana’s Palace Will Be Brimming With Details From the Big Easy!
Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland Resort will feature lots of elegant and subtle details throughout the restaurant. You’ll find lots of easter eggs alluding to Tiana’s rich past in New Orleans. Above is an artist’s rendering of the marquee for the eatery. Underneath you’ll notice the metallic gold balcony with emerald green wrought iron railings along with awnings adorned in yellow and green which are a tip-of-the-hat to Tiana’s beautiful formal ball gown.
The colors of Mardi Gras (green, yellow, and purple) are also heavily featured throughout the property. You’ll sit on yellow tabletops, vanilla-colored chairs, green seats, and yellow umbrellas!
The interior of the restaurant will include a larger mural of the bayou. Inside you’ll also find several references to Tiana’s story in Princess and the Frog. Be on the lookout for lots of lilies on signs, plaques, light fixtures, frog porcelains, and more! Tiana also has a collection of cookbooks that adorn the shelves. Her father’s favorite gumbo spoon is also on display.
Disney Imagineers have also teased that letters from Tiana’s father and neighbors are on display alongside childhood photos of Tiana!

For those familiar with New Orleans Square at Disneyland theme park, you’ll know that Tiana’s Palace is housed in the former location of the French Market Restaurant. The new eatery will pay tribute to its predecessor and will also include new additions including two smokestacks to give the property a new iconic silhouette similar to the one featured in the animated film.

So what can we expect on the Tiana’s Palace menu!? Be on the lookout for eats and treats that honor the flavors and flair of New Orleans. Some of the ingredients will even be sourced directly from the state of Louisiana when possible!
