Rosario Dawson Shares Her Most Memorable Moment In ‘Star Wars’
Over the last fifteen years, there has been no more important character in the Star Wars universe than Ahsoka Tano.
Originally debuted as Anakin Skywalker’s young padawan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, before evolving into a war hero in her own right during The Clone Wars animated series.
After the fall of the Republic, Ahsoka turned into a Rebellion leader, becoming one of the Star Wars fan’s favorite characters.
Ahsoka would eventually make the jump from animation to live-action in Season 2 of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Portrayed by Rosario Dawson, Ahoska will soon star in her own eight-episode series, that will take the former Jedi’s story into the age of the New Republic.
“A Dream Come True”
For Dawson, the chance to play a Jedi hero in the galaxy far, far, away was a dream come true.
“There’s just a generational impact that Star Wars has had on my and so many families across the world,” the actress says. “When I think about how much I loved it as a kid, to actually have the montrals on, the lekku, and the costume, it just feels magical.”
When thinking about her Star Wars journey, Dawson recalls sharing her debut as Ahsoka with her mother. It was a moment she will never forget.
“I Feel Grateful”
“When I watched The Mandalorian with my mom, and I say, ‘May the Force be with you,’ she literally did a slow turn towards me with tears in her eyes,” Dawson says.
“I feel grateful to be a part of something so truly iconic.”
Ahsoka will premeire August 23 on Disney+. You can watch the trailer below!
