Seven Tips For Those Visiting Disneyland Paris For the First Time
Disneyland Paris is having a moment! As Disney’s only European theme park celebrates its 30th Anniversary, now is a fantastic time to visit Disneyland Paris Resort. If this happens to be your first visit to Disneyland Paris then here are seven quick tips to make sure that you get the most out of the holiday.
Live the Fairy Tale at Disneyland Paris Hotel
Those looking for the ultimate Disneyland Paris experience need to look no further than the Disneyland Paris Hotel. Not only is this property simply stunning but because of the compact size of Disneyland Paris, staying here makes it a breeze to get to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Parks. Disneyland Paris Hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the theme parks where you can benefit from Extra Magic Time, an exclusive perk for resort guests allowing you special time at the parks before they open to the general public.
For the ultimate splurge, surprise your family with a Club Level room at the Disneyland Paris Hotel. This will allow you access to the Club Level lounge where you can enjoy drinks and light bites throughout the day. Club Level offers a wide array of perks including a private check-in experience!
Don’t Forget to Make Advanced Dining Reservations
Dining with Disney characters is a Disneyland Paris right of passage. For those interested in enjoying a meal while mingling with some of your favorite Disney pals, don’t forget to make your dining reservations well in advance. Reservations can be made via the Disneyland Paris mobile app. Guests can book your table service dining experiences up to 60 days in advance.
Bring Your Appetites!
Disneyland Paris is an absolute treasure trove of incredible eats and treats. One of our favorite quick service spots is Casey’s Corner at the top of Main Street USA. A must-try treat here is the Baseball Ball. This treat looks almost like the real thing. It features vanilla mousse which houses a core of salted caramel.
If visiting Disneyland Paris, we also recommend giving the Food Trucks a try. You’ll find several at Walt Disney Studios that offer delicious food and drinks. You’ll find everything from croissants and coffee to chilled champagne and macarons.
Experience Classic Disney Attractions With a Twist
One of the best things about visiting Disneyland Paris is that it’s the perfect opportunity to visit some of Disney’s most beloved attractions with a Disneyland Paris twist. Be on the lookout for old favorites like Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain with a Disneyland Paris twist. For instance, Space Mountain currently has a Hyperspace Mountain overlay that Star Wars fans are sure to love. And then there’s my favorite Disneyland Paris attraction – Phantom Manor which is the park’s very own version of the Haunted Mansion.
Make Time for Attractions Found Only at Disneyland Paris Resort
Though everyone loves familiar Disney sights, half the fun of visiting Disneyland Paris is the opportunity to enjoy rides and attractions exclusive to the European parks. Examples include Crush’s Coaster at Walt Disney Studios Park. There’s also La Chateau de la Belle au Dormat. Another personal favorite is Alice’s Curious Labyrinth. There’s nothing quite like strolling through this whimsically wonderful maze on your way to the Queen of Hearts’ Castle.
For the guests that really want to experience it all, we also recommend Premier Access. Similar to the Genie+ service offered stateside, guests can pay for faster access to 16 of the park’s most popular attractions. Disneyland Paris offers two versions of Premier Access. There’s Premier Access One which is valid for one attraction only and Premier Access Ultimate which is valid for 16 attractions.
Don’t Skip the Parades
The attractions are pretty amazing but so are the parades! And don’t worry, the shows at Disneyland Paris incorporate both French and English. You’ll also be in awe over the beautiful costumes, talented cast members, dazzling special effects, and more!
Be sure to linger late for the nighttime spectaculars which feature drones that take to the skies in ways you never thought possible! Wait until you see these synchronized formations!
Schedule in Some Downtime to Take It All In
Though it might be tempting to queue up for attraction after attraction, make sure you set aside some time to soak in the Disneyland Paris details. A great example is the stained glass windows of Sleeping Beauty Castle. These windows are incredible with details that bring the story to life.
You’ll also want to take some time to stroll through Parc Disneyland to soak in the beauty, architecture, and design details that make Disneyland Paris so special.
