Get Ready For Some Big Crowds at Disneyland Resort
Get ready for things to kick up a notch at Disneyland. Summer coming to an end typically coincides with lower crowd levels but not at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. As a recent piece in the OC Register explains, lower ticket prices combine with the return of Magic Key holders which means that the theme parks are expected to surge in end-of-summer popularity.
If you’ve got plans to visit Disneyland and/or Disney California Adventure starting tomorrow (Monday, August 14) expect larger than usual crowds level. According to the OC Register, cast members have already been told Disneyland to allow for extra time for travel this week as well as August 20 – August 25th. The reason is that many locals opt to wait until the end of the summer season for lower ticket prices. Both theme parks are offering tickets for as low as $104 which is at the low end of Disney’s tiered pricing system. These rates will be available from August 21st through September 28th.
Disneyland’s Annual Passholders (otherwise known as Magic Keyholders) have now come out the other side of blackout dates. This means that many will be visiting during weekdays both this month and next.
We will continue to monitor crowd levels closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking back with us for further Disney-related news and updates.
