Review: We Try the New Menu Items at Artist’s Palette
If you were following along with us yesterday you may have seen the news that Disney is adding some new treats to the menu at The Artist’s Palette in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. These fun dishes are sure to inspire you with their creativity. Let’s take a closer look at the items we tried for lunch today!
First, we’ll start with a savory item! The Margherita Pizza is sure to be a family favorite.
This pizza features mozzarella, fresh pizza sauce, and basil pistou on homemade crust.
The pizza retails for $10.29.
Our MickeyBlogger Miranda said that when it comes to Margherita Pizza this one is tops! She said the pizza had the right cheese, tomato, and pesto ratio and that the dough was fresh without being doughy or puffy. Those looking for a pizza won’t be disappointed with this Artist’s Palette menu item.
Moving on to desserts, one of the new items is the Derby Day Pie.
This treat has a pie shell base with chocolate-nut filling topped with Buttercream and a horseshoe.
This goodie was a bit hit-or-miss for Miranda.
Our MickeyBlogger felt that the Derby Day Pie was too sweet. She felt that the pie could’ve done without all of the frosting on the top. However, the pie itself was delicious with the chocolate nut being the dominant flavor!
Rounding out our taste test is The Artist’s Palette Cookie.
If this treat looks familiar, it’s because a similar treat is a favorite at the annual EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
The base is a simple sugar cookie.
The cookie is topped with icing that looks like paint and a strawberry biscuit paintbrush.
Unfortunately, this treat failed to win us over. It looks amazing but is just a simple sugar cookie. The flavor was bland with only a slight hint of sugar. However, in its favor, it was fresh and soft. It wins points for creativity and Instagram-worthiness. However, when it comes to desserts, you’ll probably find better at The Artist’s Palette.
As you can see, all of these treats came to $23.19. By Disney standards, this is an affordable quick service option at Saratoga Springs.
