NEWS: Nighttime Show to Return to Animal Kingdom This November
The second half of the year is a very exciting time at Disney World! We have Halloween festivities happening, EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival to enjoy, and the holiday celebrations to look forward to.
It usually cools down a little bit at the parks in the fall leading into the winter as well, which is a very welcome change of pace. It also helps when it starts getting dark earlier since that sun isn’t beating down on you.
Another added bonus of it getting dark earlier in the evenings is that some entertainment can return, like the returning show Disney recently announced!
Tree of Life Awakenings
Tree of Life Awakenings is returning to Animal Kingdom in early November! Disney said in a press release that the show will be back after daylight saving time ends.
Daylight saving time ends this year on November 5th, so we should expect to see the show come back sometime on or after that date.
The show happens as the suns sets — the Tree of Life literally awakens with colorful projections and animated imagery! The images are synced up with special music and sounds as well.
Last year, the show did return earlier. We saw it return as early as the beginning of October.
Disney also noted that these projections will be limited-time. This makes sense since the show usually has to go away in the spring when daylight saving time begins again and it stays light out longer.
We’ll let you know when we find out an official date or any other details! Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates.
