A Small Disney Dining Reservation Change Could Make a BIG Difference!
It can take a lot of planning when you’re going on a trip to Disney. Whether you’re visiting Disney World or Disneyland, you usually have to plan out where you’re staying, how you’re getting there, which tickets you want to buy, which parks to visit on which days, and more.
Another important part of planning is where you’re going to eat! There are SO many different restaurants at both Disney World and Disneyland.
Some of these restaurants are casual, but others you usually need a reservation for. And now, some changes are being made to how you make Disney dining reservations.
Dining Reservation Changes
Disney World and Disneyland are both making changes to their dining reservation systems soon, according to Scott Gustin. The most significant change is that when you search for a restaurant and a time slot, you will see ALL of the available times instead of just a few random options.
You can see the difference in the photos attached to the tweet.
NEW: Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort are making updates to the dining reservation system over the coming days. The biggest upgrade: When you search for a restaurant and time, you will soon see ALL reservation slots in a single view vs. a few random options. Old vs. new: pic.twitter.com/JSPBzzh4xd

Also, the time slots will be sorted by meal period so you’ll know the difference between booking a lunch or a dinner reservation, for example. This is especially important for places that have different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
This might seem like a small change, but it can make a big difference. Before now, you would sometimes have to fiddle with the dining reservations in order to get available times to pop up.

The Boathouse
Sometimes you would click on “dinner” when you were searching for a reservation and nothing would pop up, but if you clicked on a specific time, it would show that slots are available (and vice versa).
Now, this should alleviate that problem! And, you can get a better sense of all the time slots available which should help when you’re planning your day.
