REVIEW: The Alps at the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
We hope you brought your appetites Disney friends. We’re continuing our walk around the World Showcase where the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing. Our next stop is The Alps Global Marketplace.
The menu is brimming with delectable Alpine treats so let’s take a closer look at this year’s menu:
Food
- Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake and Meringues (NEW)
- Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette (Emile’s Fromage Montage item)
- Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Shaved Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette (Emile’s Fromage Montage item)
- Stiegl Brewery Key Lime Radler, Salzburg, Austria
- Huber Vision Grüner Veltliner, Austria
- Frozen Rosé
The first dish we tried was the Raclette without the ham. This isn’t a new dish but it is one of our favorites and did not disappoint!
The dish comes with a baguette, melted Swiss Cheese, and baby potatoes and retails for $5.25. It was just as delicious as we remembered — we loved the melted cheese with the perfectly cooked potatoes and tangy pickles.
Our only criticism is that the potatoes could’ve used a bit of seasoning.
We also indulged in the dark chocolate fondue. As you can see, it comes with meringues, berries, and pound cake for $5.50.
This dessert from The Alps was another win in our books! The chocolate was rich and wonderful and dipping the various treats in the fondue was wonderfully decadent. Those looking for a sweet treat at the 2023 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival would not be disappointed with this dish.
We also tried the Stiegl Brewery Key Lime Radler which is a returning beer at the festival. MickeyBlogger Madison tried this one out and was super disappointed, especially as someone who’s a huge fan of almost everything key lime-flavored!
This is just a bad beer — the lime has such an artificial taste and a weird sweetness in the aftertaste that wasn’t enjoyable at all. It’s a light beer, but it wasn’t even refreshing since there was no acidity from the lime and that weird taste lingered around. We would not recommend this one!
