A 9-Year-Old’s Perfect Day in Disney World
[Editor’s note: This post was written by my 9-year-old daughter Harper for Take Your Kid to Work Day in April!]
Disney World is a special place for all ages — especially 9-year-olds like me.
I know Disney World like the back of my hand and LOVE it and this is my perfect day there.
Morning
In the morning, I would get up early because I would not want to miss anything, although I love to sleep! Also in the morning, the lines aren’t bad.
First, I would go to Hollywood Studios. I always like getting a Cherry Slushy from a snack stand. After that, I like to ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway as my first ride.
My mom would get us a Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, but it would usually take an hour for us to be able to get in line. While we wait, we would get a big soft pretzel and a pink lemonade for me! [Editor’s note: You can get those items from BaseLine Taphouse!]
Afternoon
In the afternoon, it would be time to get on Rise of the Resistance! I like this ride because it has a small drop that gives me a fun feeling.
Then we would ride a Minnie Van to Magic Kingdom to get me a Dole Whip! Dole Whip is my favorite thing in the whole world. [Editor’s note: Minnie Vans are available to book through Lyft. They’ll cost you but they can be a convenient and more private way to travel around Disney World.]
We would then go to ride the Haunted Mansion, and we would definitely visit a store to finally get me that Stitch nuiMO that I want so badly!
Before leaving Magic Kingdom, we would ride Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid.
Night
After Magic Kingdom, we would take another Minnie Van to go back to our hotel, where we would go swimming at the pool and play ping pong.
At night, we would get chicken tenders and fries for a late snack and watch a Disney TV show before bed.
And that’s my perfect day at Disney World!
Thanks again, Harper, for helping out at MickeyBlog!
